Polycystic Ovarian S: Polycystic ovarian syndrome is an early manifestion of metabolic syndrome causing annovulatory cycles, hirsuitism, and asociated problems that may be present at the same time: hypertension, dyslipidemia, abdominal weight, and a gradual drift toward diabetes type 2. If it is early, you need to drastically change your diet toward a low glycemic one. Drugs can help. But, not they are a bandade!

Hormonal imbalance: Pcos is caused by high estrogen combined with high Insulin which then transforms estrogen into testosterone. The high estrogen leads to excess growth of follicles and the elevated testosterone leads to abnormal hair growth a low carbohydrate diet is needed. Also iodine deficiency can contribute to this problem.
