BDD: Bdd is defined in the dsm-iv-tr as a somatoform disorder whereby the affected person is very concerned with body image; there is great concern about a physical defect. However, others find little or nothing wrong. Affected person is greatly distressed, goes to great lengths to try to fix problem or socially isolates. Some see selves as 'monsters' leading to depression, anxiety, self-contempt.

body dysmorphia: Body dysmorphic disorder is a mental health disorder in which one becomes extremely focused on perceived body/ facial defects that don't actually exist. It can damage self esteem and quality of life. Psychological evaluation can determine if you have this condition. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a good choice for treatment.
