Different dementias: Alzheimer' s disease is marked by decline in cognitive function because of brain changes that affect memory/executive function.Parkinson's disease is marked by problems with motor function because of nervecell loss in different part of the brain. In some cases cognitive changes occur as wellI. Cause of both are not known but the greatest risk factor is old age and some forms that run in families
