Possibly: Some bee sting victims develop exaggerated redness and swelling at the site of the sting that gradually enlarges over one to two days. This is called a large local reaction and peaks at about 48 hours and then gradually resolves over 5 to 10 days. If you have this, you can use nsaids for the pain, in addition to other meds your doctor can prescribe for other inflmmatory symptoms, like itching.

Well....: Melittin is injected into the skin by a bee. This can cause significant sharp pain for a few minutes due to stimulation of pain receptor nerve endings in skin. There can be residual achy pain for several days with tenderness to palpation. Complications can cause longer symptoms.
