Switch to an NSAID: Aspirin isn't very helpful with toothaches. Plus, it has a narrow range of safety, so don't take more than it says on the bottle. It seems that the best over-the-counter med for tooth pain is ibuprofen, for most people. Again, take only as directed. The only way to get rid of your pain long-term is to see a dentist. Teeth don't heal themselves, ever. Pain meds only reduce the pain short-term.

Unfortunately....: Sounds like your toothache is too advance for Aspirin to help anymore. You may not get any relief until you get to a dentist, which is my recommendation. At a certain stage, you have no other options, but a dentist can get you relief.

Dentist: You may try tylenol (acetaminophen) or Advil. But best course is to see dentist to cure problem.
