When your doc: Says it's okay, only he/she is looking at your x-rays and foot and knows the extent of your injury.

Avg of 2-4 weeks: This really depends on the extent of the fracture and if there was surgery involved to fix the bone. If you were only placed in a cast for the healing, then 2-4 weeks should give your muscles a chance to strengthen. If surgery was involved, than you need to wait until the bones are very stable and healed and then get your muscles stronger. When you start back, go easy.
