How to clean my 43 days old baby's ears?

Clean cloth: Earwax is made near the outlet & any amount you can scoop out using your fingernail, or wipe away with a clean cloth is all you should be doing.Q-tip like product does more harm than good in the ear canal. I see many "baby safety q-tips" & these are horrible. Think loading a civil war cannon, i've had to spend a half hour with a water pick removing impacted wax from their use.
