Has anyone found a cure for seniors with alzheimer's yet?

We're Getting There: We do not have a cure for alzheimer's yet but we sure do understand it a whole lot better than we did. Early screening for any signs of cognitive decline will be key. Meanwhile keeping an active mind & body are important preventative measures.

No: There is no cure for alzheimer's and no real breakthrough on the horizon. We have a few memory enhancing agents and two useful medical foods which most seniors should try, as these items may slow the process and improve adl's. Rx items include memantine, donepezil, galantamine, (galantamine hydrobromide) rivastigmine. Medical foods, cerefolin-nac and axona.
