PT: Was probably just muscle pain. I would recommend you get into a formal course of physical therapy along with anti-inflammatory medications. This should do the trick.

Couple possibilities: This description is insufficient for good help, so here's a couple possibilities: rib dysfunction, muscle strain, vertebral dysf. A good history with detail about exact location, type of pain (sharp vs dull vs burning, etc), duration of pain would help diagnosis.A good history is key as is a good physical incl osteopathic hands-on exam.If cause is found, osteopathic manipulation may help.
