A member asked:

How do you know if bad back nerve or disc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on symptoms: Disc problems can cause back or neck pain, arm or leg pain (if a nerve is pinched), or can be asymptomatic. Nerves in the back usually don't "go bad" without a reason. This can include external pressure from discs, bone spurs, tumors, or other rarer problems.
