Unlikely to cause CA: If you know you have mild gastritis then it sounds like you must have already had an upper endoscopy to give you that specific diagnosis. If not then you should have an egd. It is unlikely that if you just have mild irritation of the stomach lining (gastritis) that you will develop stomach cancer. However you should follow the recommendations of your doctor that did the endoscopy.
