Multiple Meds: A broken arm can result in pain due to musculoskeletal damage along with possible nerve involvement. Typically alleve/motrin work well in addition to ice, casting, elevation, and rest. If pain is severe and resistant to above medications, you can utilize a narcotic (i.e. Percocet). Discuss with your pcp or orthopedist/sports medicine physician on other options for pain control.
