Could be: In-utero neurotrauma/toxicity (oxygen/blood loss, or alcohol/mj/nicotine/drug/virus exposure) short gestation (<39 weeks), birth trauma, concussion, severe head injury, chemotherapy/radiation exposure, infection, poisons (lead, etc), poor nutrition can all worsen inherited adhd or cause a condition similar to adhd.
