No: There are cases of hemifacial spasms, meaning facial spasm on just one side of the facial which arise from an arterial compression of the facial nerve. The spasms in this case are only on side, typical worse around the eye but can involve the whole face. There is a surgical treatment for this as if it is due to an artery compressing the nerve it can be moved neurosurgically.
