Swallowing problem: Is it rare and associated with heartburn or more consistent? It may be minor spasm or can be more serious. A GI specialist can help you find out best. It helps to study it to eliminate worry.

Swallowng difficulty: Many things can cause dysphagia or swallowing problems.Reflux disease (gerd), esophageal motility problems, strictures or other more ominous things like tumors. And osteoporosis drugs like Fosamax (alendronate) are increasingly implicated. Talk to your doctor about this and a endoscopic procedure or barium swallow is likely in ordre.
