What causes difficulty swallowing and voice problems?

Maybe vocal cords: This is a broad question but the vocal cords would be the first thing i would look at. If one has vocal cord (vc) paralysis or a vc lesion, this can cause hoarseness. With vc paralysis, swallowing may be difficult due to choking or loss of sensation in the larynx. A vc lesion may give a sense of difficult swallowing as well. An ENT can look at your larynx and proceed w/ the next step.

Get a check up: It is possible you could have underlying issues. See your physician or ENT for an evaluation.
