Are weight loss patches effective?

Somewhat: Patch will work but you would have to use additional methods too. Any one product is not effective - some patch has sea kelp which helps thyroid, some has anti- inflammatory products some have carnitine so each helps in a small way.

What fruits are the most effective in weight loss?

Depends: Even an elephant is a vegetarian. In other words any fruit in big amounts will cause you to gain weight. So as far as "effective" and fat burning, there are none if you eat too much. Now in small moderate amounts, avocado, citrus fruits, coconut, and grapefruits are always touted as having the best fat burning properties by the registered dietitians i work with.

Could weight loss supplements be effective?

Only to lose $$: There are no safe and effective supplements on the internet that help with weight loss and have been scientifically evaluated. We don't even know what's in them until people taking them start to get sick or die. You don't need weight loss, you need to learn how to eat and exercise properly for the rest of your life. Check w/registered dietitian, weight watchers or other good info sources.

How effective is weight lifting for weight loss?

Dr. Robert Kwokanswered

If burning calories: Weight-lifting burns stored fat only if the activity is using lots of calories. If one lifts a heavy weight one repetition, and then walks around chatting with friends, then not much fat will be lost. In general, if a person exercises more than he did before, but he does not start eating more calories, then his body will use stored fat to provide the energy the exercises require.

What are some effective weight loss methods?

Nutrient dense foods: Eat foods that are nutrient dense (like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, low starch vegatables and water) avoid foods that are not nutrient dense (like starches and sugars, including fruit)
nutrient dense foods will increase your basal metabolic rate. On the other hand, starches and sugars impair thyroid metabolism via affects on your liver (which helps activate thyroid hormone).
