Will it matter: Hpv is one of those nasty stealth germs that can pass during sex with or without "protection". Once you pick up a strain it will stay with you forever & you may not know you have it.. Your partner may not know they have it as no obvious sores or symptoms are needed to be contagious. Only if the vaccine is given before exposure do you have any protection, & then not untill 3-4 wks after 1st dose.

Yes, but: the people at the clinic where you get the shot may frown on that. If I were you I'd take care of that before you get to the clinic; preferably before you leave the house.
