A member asked:

Are laser treatments effective on widespread chronic pain?

No: Laser treatment works occasionally on small targeted areas. Widespread chronic pain does not respond to laser. Though pain rx are important in pain therapy, there needs to be some type of psychological counseling to lessen overall pain and to help the individual deal with the pain.

Laser: Laser has been shown to have benefit in localized pain such as joint sprains and arthritic joints. It will probably have little effect on widespread pain unless you have exacerbated pain in one area.
