Depends...: Colitis is a general term - inflammation of bowel. Depens (penicillamine) what kind and what symptoms are involved? In general dietary adjustment may help . Recommend to consume more "probiotics" like kefir mixed with pomogranet juice and over the counter probiotic pill "vsl#3". Take it as a healthy breakfast daily! also talk to your doctor for specific directions.

Depends: On severity. In the case of mild to moderately severe ulcerative colitis, mesalamine may be sufficient. In the case of more severe colitis, one may need an immunomodulator (azathioprine or 6MP) or biologic (Remicade, Humira, (adalimumab) Entyvio).

It depends: on what kind of colitis you have. Different causes, different treatments, and different prognosis.
