A week or so: You have colitis. Your doctor gave you a steroid taper. It will take a week or so for you bowel movements to return to normal. Your doctor gave you steroids to stop the inflammation. You will also continue your colitis medication. You doctor will want to know if your bowel movements do not return to normal. You may have a follow up appointment. Be well and walk everyday for health.
