TUIBN: Transurethral incision of the bladder neck is an outpatient surgical procedure that opens up bladder neck for urine to flow more freely. Usually there is no overnight stay in the hospital, if uncomplicated. Sometimes a urinary catheter is left in place for a day or so, depending on the clinical situation. Bladder irritability can occur for a few days. Consult a urologist for details.
