Drink more water: Snacking in itself is not unhealthy. Making bad choices when snacking is. Often our bodies cannot tell the difference between hunger and thirst, so when you feel that urge to snack, drink a bottle of water first, then make a healthy choice (fruits/vegetables) if you are still hungry.

Fruits &vegetables: An excellent solution to the challenge of overeating from snacking is to try this. Eliminate all snack foods from your home, only have fruits and/or vegetables available for snacks. It is very hard to eat too much of either. It is also very hard to not eat cookies, crackers, chips, or pretzels for snacks if they are in the house.

Eat more often.: The term "snacking" has a negative connotation; it usually suggests eating unhealthy, empty calories. By contrast, eating regular healthy meals more often throughout the day will keep the appetite in check and limit the ingestion of unhealthy snacks. Have a small meal every three hours or so.
