Modify workout: As a climber myself, i know rock climbing can be tough on your digits. Have you progressed through you training to crimping a lot of small holds prior to increasing your basic forearm and hand strength? Usually pain means too much too quick or simply too much time spent on small holds. Back off on training in this way, focus on strength and start in slow varying your workout. Don't quit!

Search for underlyin: I would make sure you do not have an underlying disorder responsible for the condition first by getting an examination. Once cleared, pretreatment with anti-inflammatories such as Ibuprofen may be helpful.
