Social disconnection: Schizoid personality is associated with a general lack of reaction / connection socially. Remember the song, "people who need people?" schizoid people appear to not need people, or at least they act that way.

Schizoid: They are loners, have no desire for social interactions, are indifferent to praise or criticism, are cold & emotionless, have flat affect & tend to minimize complaints when they are ill.

Schizoid: The main feature of schizoid PD is an indifference to interpersonal relationships. These are folks who tend not to experience lonlines or depression brought on by prolonged isolation from other people. They prefer it that way.
