Ask your physician: Schizoid personality disorder is a personality disorder characterized by a lack of interest in social relationships, a tendency towards a solitary lifestyle, secretiveness, emotional coldness, and apathy. Psychotherapy is beneficial in many cases. "Thought disorder" is vague and could indicate a number of conditions, clarification for an exact diagnosis is needed. Best.

Treatment: Because of the rarity of schizoid PD, I would get a second opinion to either confirm or refute the diagnosis. Then get a referral to a reputable psychotherapist for whatever the issue turns out to be.
