No Hormones: The average woman goes through menopause at age 51 meaning there are no more eggs to make hormones. Some women enter menopause earlier, but when it occurs before age 40 it is very abnormal and called premature ovarian failure. It requires a special workup and important treatment for health reasons. A reproductive endocrinologist can help. It affects your bones, your fertility, heart, etc.
