A member asked:

Is there a diet that will help prevent kidney stones?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly.: There are many types of kidney stones (calcium phosphorous/oxalate, uric acid, etc.) if your urine has a high concentration of the compounds of a specific stone, it increases the chance of a stone. For the most common type of stones, we recommend low protein, low salt diet and adequate hydration. However, just because you have a high concentration of the compounds does not mean you will get it.
