Not a cure : Drinking lots of fluids can help prevent kidney stones but it's not a cure all. Your genetics, your diet, medications and other medical problems can also predispose you to developing kidney stones.

Fluid intake: I tell my patients to drink enough fluids to maintain their urine a light yellow to clear color. Is hard for busy people to measure their urine output, also depends on your weight and height.
