Why Not?: Didn't george bush, sr. Just do that? He's probably not going to have a heart attack if his doctor says "ok", but he'll be at a higher risk for broken bones. I have an 80+ patient that still water skis.

Of course: If he makes a solo jump under a good-sized canopy, expect an impact about equal to jumping out of the flatbed of a truck, or less. If with a tandem instructor, less. Do it. Not living fully and not doing the things you want is more terrible than accepting small risks.
