Could be...: You didn't mention how far out of surgery you were. It could be a stone in the common bile duct. Even after removal, stones could develop in the liver and still get stuck causing pain. There could have been a stone left over from surgery. It could also be a process unrelated to your gall bladder causing it as well, such as pancreatitis.
