Fairly: We're not seeing deaths from its being used normally. I know a couple of psychiatrists and they are not big on benzodiazepines especially in the short run. Don't exceed the recommended dose or use it with alcohol or other depressing drugs. Everybody can benefit from learning new living skills and mental tricks and maybe life-situation changes so you won't be a slave to anxiety. Good luck.

A benzodiazepine: In addition to dr. Friedlander's reply, i found a reference about bromazepam inducing a coma after acute self-poisoning: http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pubmed/20040343 -- Ambien (zolpidem) was taken at the same time, but only the bromazepam persisted at toxic levels. Bromazepam isn't marketed in the usa, but people buy it online, etc.
