Having been stung: Many times over my lifetime - i would say that the pain is intense for a couple of minutes. It is sharp ; stinging. It lessens in intensity quickly ; becomes dull. It is however not too bad when compared to breaking a bone, having a baby or having a surgical abdomen. Overall - unless you are allergic or get a lot of stings - it usually is no big deal.
