Local care: For the next several weeks, you should clean the area with alcohol and then apply a topical antibiotic, such as neosporin or Bacitracin 2-3 times a day. The earring should aslo be gently twirled so that the antibiotic can come into contact with the part of the post that is in contact with skin.
