Yes and no: 70% of our population will develop low back pain at one point in their life. However if your pain is ongoing and unremitting and i would recommend seeing your orthopedic spinal specialist.

It may: Usually lower back pain is better with rest but can occur when changibg position in bed. Sleeping on your stomach may also aggravate back pain. If you are getting increased pain at night and pain is waking you out of sleep it may be a sign of something mire serious with your back or from some other issue referring pain to your back and should be evaluated.
