Fracture Pain: Fractures generally take 8+ weeks to completely heal. Usually, at about three weeks or so, pts note diminished swelling, etc....And engage in more activities, thus aggrevating the original fracture.. Rest ice elevate.

Swelling: Pain is usually attributed to the swelling or inflammation of the toe or if the broken pieces have started moving, then you may start to get pain at a later date. Please consult your podiatrist.
