Stiff legs: Cerebral palsy is a static encephalopathy that affects the control of muscles. If the control problem only affects the legs, it is referred to as diplegia. Different forms include spastic with stiffness, ataxic with poor balance, dyskinetic with random rigid and loose tone, or choreoathethotic with strange random movments. Spastic diplegia is one of the more common and more mild forms.
