What is a typical day like for an obstetrician gynecologist?

It varies: Our schedules can be very erratic. We may have office all day but get called out of office for deliveries or other emergencies. Most have a surgery day or do them first thing in the morning before office. We may be up all night on call or sleep very little and still have office the next day. Fortunately most all of our outcomes are very rewarding which more than makes up for the crazy schedule!
