Many: Diuretics all work on different parts on the nephron which is the basic building block of the kidney. You have thiazides, loop diiuretics, potasium sparing diuretics. They all work by increasing the amount of water exceeted in the urine usally by blocking reabsorbtion of sodium ir potaium.
