Yes, but...: You may have heard lots of anecdotes about people who were incorrectly diagnosed with ms. However, modern imaging techniques and diagnostic criteria have made ms diagnosis a lot less tricky than it once was. A competent neurologist should be able to tell you if your diagnosis is "ms, " "not ms, " or uncertain. The terms "possible" and "probable" have been removed from the diagnostic terminology.
