Can crunches damage your back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: You could damage your back without proper technique. There are several exercises to strengthen your abs without having to do crunches. Planks are a good example of this. See your physical therapist to make sure you are using proper technique and to learn additional isometric exercises.
