Yes: Pregnancy requires a fertile egg, a receptive (ready womb) and a sexual encounter that adds sperm. A period requires only that a uterus shed its menstrual flow. A person with irregular menses will often not know when they release eggs or when a menses may flow, but many still get pregnant.
