A member asked:

Rhythm method while on the birth control pill improve prevention rate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes it will: Oral contraceptive pills provide a very good rate of pregnancy prevention. The rhythm method unfortunately is not as successful. Combining the two where taking the oral contraceptive pills as directed and not having sexual contact midcycle starting approximately day nine of the cycle through day 18 of the cycle will prevent conception even more.
