Not necessarily: Borderline personality disorder can be confused with -- and sometimes co-occurs with -- other disorders like bipolar, depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and eating disorders. But it doesn't mean you'll definitely develop those disorders. Borderline personality disorder can be treated with long-term psychotherapy including dbt skills for emotional management, centering, etc.
