Can i get a brain scan to see if i have real mental illness? as in real i mean it shows up on the brain scan not just from self reporting on symptoms?

It doesn't exactly: Work that way. Most of the work of psychiatric assessment comes from interviews, history taking ; observation. Most of the time - brain scans are not required.
