Lipoma: Your lipoma must have been large. Its very common to have numbness in that part where the lipoma and the surgery was done. The numbness was due to the superficial nerves that were unavoidably cut in the removal of the lipoma. This will more than likely be permanent.

Your post cut out...: Unfortunately we can't list all possible complications, just common & dangerous. I suspect you're not happy w/your doc's nonchalant attitude, which aggravates numbness. Good news is numbness in back of your head shouldn't have any long term implications on your health. Of course, that won't make it go away. You could get a second opinion, but i don't think there's any surgery or drug to fix this.
