Yes: This depends on the reasons for the detachment. For example healthy people with traumatic detachment will likely heal back to normal. Long time diabetics or those with hypertension might be more likely to detach again and have less than 100% vision.

Retinal detachment: The answer depends on how much of the retina was detached and if thru the macula, as well as how long it was detached and the type of corrective reattachment surgery required. The vitreoretinal surgeon who did the repair can answer this question with better accuracy.
