Can be: Many preteens (9-11) can put on a little extra weight as they create a foundation on which they will sprout up as teens and then become very lean. It is helpful to ask your parents if they did the same. You can also just evaluate your food intake and decrease junk foods as they can put on unnecessary weight. Most "chubby" preteens do not need to lose wright..Just maintain and grow into it.
