Yes: Cigarette tar can stain teeth yellow, brown or even black. Dental cleanings can remove this very well, but in some instances, it is difficult to remove from between teeth.

Yes, somtimes worse.: Smoking can leave dark brown stain around the gum line or in between teeth. Then your teeth appear darker or yellowish. I recommend getting your teeth professionally cleaned and whiten. Better yet do not smoke or stop smoking because there are other more serious or life threatening consequences of smoking.
