Yellowing teeth: Adult yellowing of teeth is unlikely caused my a metabolic disorder. Aging thickens the internal dentin of teeth creating the appearance of yellower teeth. In newborns yellowing may be caused by a pediatrician use of tetracycline antibiotics. They will only do so as a last resort. Lastly there is a genetic formation flaw called ameliogenisis imperfecta that causes yellowing teeth.
